I'm trying my best to be productive at work tonight, but it isn't working. I know the DVD Garage is badly out of date, but I can't seem to log in to the server. I can log with telnet, but that's it. I don't want to go through hand coding each command. I'm lazy.
My teacher guy for my socail psych class ended up changing that 15 point assignment to one that is worth 6 points. He said that some people came and asked him some questions and he realized that it might be a long assignment. He asked the class to fill out a questionnaire about the assignment. He said that half the class said to keep the assignment and the other half said no. For some reason, he decided to go with the one that thought the assingment was too much work. The assignment didn't seem hard it just would have taken alot of time to get everything else together. He also handed out an extra credit assignment that I think is unique. He is looking for songs that relate to topics that we've covered in the class. There is a possible 7 points of extra credit. Based on his grading this could bump me up to a B if I continue the quality of work that I'm doing. That's good I guess.
I got the RaveMP from Michelle the other day. I had her find the CD so I could install the software, but the software wouldn't install on NT. So I ended up looking all over the place for something that would work. I remembered that the RaveMp was actually made by MPMan and was just repackaged as the RaveMP by another company. This MPMan website did have software that works with 2000 and XP. The only downside is that the software takes a real long time to load. I think that the software connects to the player and that takes forever since it is a parallel. The whole reason I wanted to see if this player worked was so I could listen to the Caviar songs. I wanted to listen to them when I went to class on Thursday, but I didn't want to burn a CD with only 7 songs on it. The Rave has 64 megs so I was albe to load up the 7 songs and still have 15 megs left. Cool. huh. I think so. Well, I think I'm off to find something to do on my computer.
