Yesterday was Easter and it is always entertaining seeing how different families spend the time together. More specifically what they watch. Growing up in my family there never was a great interest in sports. My interest in sports is baseball and a little football. March madness has only taken me in because of betting pools. I did not find a pool this year so I haven't watch many of the games, but I have kept up with the final scores.
At my parents house we watched whatever movies that were on during the day. This happened to be Saving Silverman, and I must say that I was amazed with what Comedy Central did not edit out. Maybe I was surprised because it was Easter and I was assuming that they would tone it down some. But then again for all those who don't participate in the Easter holiday why do they have to suffer with boring TV. There seemed to be a lot of Jesus and God movies on too but my family stayed clear of those.
At the in-law grandparents we ended up watching the Wisconsing basketball game. I keep an eye on Wisconsin sports since I went college there, but I couldn't name a single player on their football or basketball team. Unfortunately, Wisconsin lost the game. The play was very slopping on their part so it wasn't that hard of a loss to watch. They also were playing the number one seeded team that has been projected to take the entire tournament.
So count Easter day as a non dork event.
