It seems that I always end up posting when I'm conteplating a job change. Unfortunately, I think OI end up doing this becuase it stresses me out. My current situation is similar to what I went through with my last change. The deal is that I'd like to stay in the area I'm in, but my supervisor hasn't provided any clear path. She has said that I need to raise my profile in the department, but when I ask what that means I don't get a clear answer. It feels as if I have to be my own champin in the matter. I recognize that it is my own career, but I sometime thinks she doesn't recognize all the work me and others do on the team.
So to be proactive in my search I've done something I usually hate. I setup little info sessions with people around the company. Hopefuly this will give me an idea if I need to showcase myself in my department or leave and see what else the company has to offer.
